Our story

Awards built around the kids who earn them.

Compass Awards was founded in 1999 to give youth programs a simple, beautiful way to recognize achievement. Instead of a one-size-fits-all trophy, every award is built from a compass or frame and a set of patches the child has earned — creating a piece that's unique to them and the experiences they had.

Who uses it

  • Summer day camps and overnight camps
  • After-school programs and recreation departments
  • YMCAs, JCCs, and Boys & Girls Clubs
  • Adventure Guides, Indian Princesses, and family programs
  • Faith-based youth groups

How it works

  1. Pick the award style — a compass, frame, totem, or canoe paddle.
  2. Choose patches that fit the activities and values your program teaches.
  3. We ship the award and patches; you assemble and present them at your end-of-session ceremony.

Most programs reorder year after year because the kids genuinely treasure them — they're the kind of award that ends up framed on a bedroom wall, not stuck in a drawer.
